Honeymoon in Slovenia?

We are thinking of spending a part of our honey moon in Slovenia in October. We were looking for somewhere to hike, eat good food, test some new wines and maybe a few days at a Spa that is not too expensive and it seems like Slovenia got it all! Anything we should know before we start to book? What are the must do's and the don'ts? Any places to avoid in October? Suggestions of good slovenia honeymoon package but cheap spas or cool /romantic places in the mountains?

My kids (my two adventurous world traveling girls) spent time in Croatia and Slovenia and loved every minute...beautiful countries.
