I didnt' get tickets 'cause I wasn't going to be home until late that night. Now I bet I'd be able to go. Guess I'll have to go searching for tickets.

sure I decided to be nice and buy hubby tickets to it and we are FINALLY gonna have a date night and now who knows then it will be! With my luck it iwll be some time we can not go! I hope he gets better fast but still.....

I have 4 together in the best area and willing to sell for face value. Because we think the concert will be postponed at least a month, it won't work out for us now. Send a private message if you want to purchase my tickets. I bought them 2 min after they went on sale

yeah ticketmaster called me yesterday. Bright bunch they are. She called to tell me the TIME had been changed to 7pm. I informed her it was always at 7 but could she give me the new DATE.

Just to give you a small insight into the financial end of concerts that play small venues, the average group and I mean "average" is over 100G for 1 performance. This means that the hosting company has to come up with at lease 40% of the contractual price before planning can even begin. Its a total crap shoot or like playing the lottery, host is banking on selling ### of seats just to cover the cost of the band. Then it has to get vendors, advertising ect ect.
If anyone knows the history of SLVFD they are raising $$ for a community center that will not only house a Fire and Rescue training facility but it will also have a HELO pad for flyouts. While I will applaud the Marine Museum for getting groups in and performances to support them, SLVFD has a purpose for our fund raising. Every dollar we get makes the community center more of a reality. Many will ask why doesn't the County kick in to help and thats a great question, if they help at all its a very small percentage. There is a new water park at Cove Point, it was floored to allow all EMT, Fire and Rescue to have access to this park for free. Just as a way to say thanks for helping in the community. This idea was shut down and why???? Because the county was afraid of losing $$$ due to free admission.
There are not alot of perks for these men and women who risk thier lives each day to save property and lives. I am sorry for going on and on, but some realities need to be brough forth. The fire and rescue community depends on everyone to make it successful. Remember, the next time someone calls 911, it may be for you or your loved one.

You sound like your with the SLVFD, could you please ask the drivers of
your trucks to SLOW DOWN when they return from a call.
I live on St. Leonard Rd. and sometimes the truck comes back (with no lights and siren)
WAY faster than it left.
........I definately agree that emergency persons (police included) have a thankless job. They're only rememebered when needed.
