Horse people insensitive to the needs of the special

What does “downs” mean in the name of horse tracks, like “Dover Downs”?

is this some kind of a private joke that has something to do with special needs people?

is it a nickname for the horses that are owned by poorer people that can only afford the shorter trailers?

whatever it is, I think its wrong and we need to start a movement to insure the proper treatment of the less fortunate in this country today.

I am sickend by this lack of compassion. sickend I tell you.

I never thought of that, but it is damn insensitive. It would be like calling the NASCAR the NASTARD. Kind of rude.

maybe they are staging the syndrom?

like cancer, stage 1 stage 2 etc...

but at least on the football field they do wear protective gear.

Do the horses get little protective hats to wear? I think not.

Yes, big corporations are naming Racetracks all over the country just to make fun of special needs groups...

Next stupid question please!
