How 'bout Sara Mittleider?

She landed in the "head of the lake" and lost her stirrup...

3 (?)strides to the first duck...

A couple more strides and still hanging on at the second duck...

Out of the water, over a corner, and around a bend...

And then over the Creek Oxer

The Creek Oxer is 3'11" with a 6'6" spread and a 9'9" base spread.

Now this last fence is so intimidating!!! :faint: Some of the other shots were scary with the stirrup sliding all the way back to her heal. Then her getting left behind and sitting on the horses back over the fence after the Ducks. :faint:

Man those pictures are great!!!!

:offtopic: But are you going to be taking pics @ MSA this year??

dang those are nice rolex pics. the head of the lake is the best place to watch!! BZ, sometimes they put the stirrup all the way "home" on their foot on purpose for more stability and less likely to lose it going cross country, when they'll be jumping behind the motion a lot like over that ducky, driving their horse through the water. its so crazy.

WE HAVE GOT TO GO TO THE WEG. 2010 BABY!!

hey phyx are you going to ROLEX this year??? oh i wish i could go!!

Get some!
I remember in DC when the rider lost her stirrups in the Presidents Grand Prix. She finished that round with 4 faults... and a standing ovation.

:starcat: I'd love to go to WEG 2010!! Plus I'd like to go to World Cup when it comes back to the US!!

Since I never jumped cross country fences that BIG in Pony Club I never had to ride like that over the jumps. :yikes: Not that I didn't want to, but my interest started leaning to the Jumpers/Hunters/Equitation. :cartwheel :cartwheel The RUSH of going clean Cross Country though made it a hard decision, but the next weekend taking the same horse to a Horse Show (& the fact he hadn't come down yet from the weekend before) made that choice a little easier. :lmao::lmao:
