Hospice of the Chesapeake just released this statement:

We are excited to share with you today that Calvert Hospice and Hospice of the Chesapeake have fully executed an acquisition agreement and effective, June 15, 2022, we have become one organization. We believe the strength of this new partnership is that it brings together two local nonprofit organizations to further strengthen the access to healthcare available to the citizens of Calvert County. We also share a strong legacy of volunteer engagement and grassroots advocacy.
Hospice of the Chesapeake is currently caring for 590+ hospice patients and their families every day and with the addition of Calvert County we will reach more than 630+ hospice patients each day throughout our region in the near future.
Our goals for this new organization will be to bring additional organizational strength, greater admissions capacity, expanded programs and regional expertise to those who need care while simultaneously honoring the legacy of Calvert Hospice. Our newly combined teams will be reaching out to you individually to introduce new members and to get to know you as well as share plans for the upcoming months. As part of our earliest conversations about this acquisition, we assured everyone that dollars raised in Calvert County will be directly allocated to services and programs in Calvert County. Likewise, volunteer hours will continue to support activities in the local Calvert County area.
We are honored that you have chosen to support Calvert Hospice and believe that the future of our newly combined organization is very bright. Most importantly, we all share a dedication to our mission of caring for those living with advanced, complex illnesses and grief.
Should you have specific questions, please feel free to reach out to your Calvert County team members or me directly.
Gratefully,
Michael Brady, CPA

I always like to take a look at the overall financials for these non-profits. Data is always available by IRS Form 990. However, they always seem to lag by 2-3 years. Top 1st is Chesapeake, the second is Calvert.
