Hostile, or defensive archetecture? You decide.

NYC is Building Anti-Homeless Streets

“Hostile Architecture” has many purposes, but should it be used against NYC’s most vulnerable? There are examples of this type of design all over the city, some by private companies, and others by the city itself.

Actually, fast food restaurants from Mickey D's to Dennys were the first to come up with so-called "hostile architecture" - furniture designed to become more uncomfortable the longer you sit on it.

ANYONE THAT REMEMBERS THE OLD MCDONALDS RESTAURANTS WITH THE ARCHES, recalls the tile seats to make us teenagers to get in, and get out.
