Hot sauce

I just ordered some of the Naga Viper hot sauce made from the Naga Viper Pepper the guy in this video is going to eat. 1.4 mil on the scoville scale! I watched the video where he took a tablespoon of the sauce and it wasn't quite this dramatic.

Description of the sauce:

Extremely hot – just under one million Scoville Heat Units

Very, very tasty – if you can cope with the heat

Unique – second batch of this fantastic new sauce

Come join me if you dare. Let me know and I'll let you know when it arrives.
I'll be dipping a toothpick in to start, and probably end, the tasting for me anyway.

Easier and cheaper than climbing Mt Everest and you don't get your nose frozen off. In other words, because it's there.

1. It's an experience you will never forget and few have collected.
2. It's fun to watch others suffer as you have.

Probably should change that order around.:killingme

1. I have had experiences I will NEVER forget with sauces far, FAR lower on the scovil scale.

2. I can, I CAN drink race fuel and smoke a Cohiba at the same time.

Here's a good dare for you to try. You might want to wait until your son gets home so he can see it, then you can dare him to do it. Take a tablespoon of cinnamon and put it in your mouth and chew it up and swallow it. That is WAY harder than it sounds. I tried it last year...didn't quite do it.

So have I, but I am older and hopefully when I try, it wiser. Not trying to prove anything in other words or taking a shot of it on a dare.

I inadvertantly subjected a friend of mine to one (experience) once. It was a little cookout at my place and everyone had been there for a while. We had chips and dips out. I brought out my hottest sauce that I had at the time and made sure everyone understood it was really hot. I dipped one corner of a dorito in it, just a dab to demonstrate how I recommend it be tasted if they wished. Most didn't wish after seeing me sweat.
Anyway, this friend showed up way late and I didn't think about that I had left the tiny bowl of sauce out. He proceeded to sit down and take a scoop with a chip. Oops, never leave stuff like that out, is what I learned. Never trust anything on my table is what he learned.

I've seen that. :otter:

I have heard about that. I have also quit taking dares.

I have some smoked habenaro pepper powder and no matter how hard I try to tell folks, most try too much. Just a few specks of it lights ya up. It's tasty, but way too hot

Yep, good for putting a drop or 4 in chili.

The hottest one I have now is"only" made with habaneros. Called "Sudden Death". It is pretty hot.

DR, how much did you have to shell out for this experience? Where did you order it?

I would try the tiniest bit. I like stuff hot, but that would probably do it for me.

I noticed there's an ice cream advertisement at the bottom of the page. :killingme

I don't know how the guy in the video (or anyone) can stand that kind of heat. I like heat in sauce/chili sometimes, just not as much lately. Tends to take good flavor away, not to mention all of your taste buds, vision (if you wipe your eyes like this guy did). But I also get the "because it's there" point of view.

Get back later on that. I'm sure the little bottle would last you the rest of your life. Might mention it in your will even. it's still coming back to me in euros that I don't want to convert and I haven't seen the shipping chgs added. I'm guessing about $9 for the sauce.

Right, he did mention the site. £3.50 = $4.70. I wonder what kind of bottle they ship it in. Is it a single layer of titanium, or does it need to be multi-layered?

I bought a jar of the dried whole Ghost chillies and they are wonderful(in moderation). I don't think they are as hot as the fresh or the sauces. I've already gone through 1/3 of them. I made pickles with them this summer to see if I could get them hot enough that my boss wouldn't eat them. He told me to please quit trying.. LOL I used some in a crock pot NC style pork BBQ and what a wonderful smoky flavor they add! :yay:

Just an FYI.... I had friend in England who needed a new light assembly for his GL 1200. JC Whitney had one for much cheaper than he could get one over there. We both thought it would be cheaper for him to order direct rather than me order it and ship it to him. He got nailed for import taxes and it wound up costing more than double the original price.

Not that shipping and import/export will be alot on a $9 item, but you have been alerted.
