Hotels near Geneva, NY

We are heading up to NY in June for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary party. They have provided a list of possible hotels nearby that we can stay at. However, they seem to be lacking one major component. I need a room that has the living area seperate from the sleeping area. I need a place to run to to get away from my husband's snoring.

What are the hotels that offer this so I can check out the websites? TIA

where is Geneva??

i would suggest going to travelocity or one of those websites and just see what's available. some hotels have different style rooms depending on what location...and unless Geneva is some sort of ski resort i'm not thinking it's a popular vacation destination that people around here would know about

It's south of Rochester. I've been looking for days and can't find a reasonably priced hotel that offers seperate areas. What most call "suites" are just one room with more furniture or a mini fridge. We don't want to have to pay for two rooms but it might work out that way.

hmmm...just gag him! Most of the hotels I know that sometimes have rooms with separate sleeping areas from the living areas don't actually have a door between them...so there's some more distance, but no buffer for the noise. :frown:

that kinda sounds like a top notch suite. i wouldn't expect that to be reasonably priced. actually the only time i had a place like that, it was more along the lines of an extended stay type of place that was partially condos. that was NYC and i don't know the new name of the place, but it wasn't a chain anyway. sorry. i guess if they have extended stay types of hotels that might be something to look at. perhaps those have a living area.

 I would if I could. When you touch him while he's snoring, you end up getting hit too so just leaving and sleeping elsewhere is the safest bet. :yay: I will keep looking. Thanks for the extended stay idea. We might pay more but atleast we'll still have our marriage. I told him over dinner last night that if I have to stay in the same room, one of us wouldn't be coming home

Do a google search for "cabins rental in NY" and "new york vacation rentals". You can rent entire cabins/camps/houses for less than hotel rooms usually. I always rent for vacation (usually in Adirondacks or NH).

We normally do that for our summer vacations when we're staying for over a week. Didn't think about for just a few days. That would be ideal though! Thanks.

Geneva On The Lake * Suites & Packages * 800-3-GENEVA

This place has suites. It is in Geneva. My husband's grandparents used to live 2 doors down. It is beautiful in the summer. Kind of pricey, I'd assume.

I think we're going to go with this instead. All depends on what hubby says.
Canandaigua Motel : Suite

I figure if we have to be in the same room (forgot to mention that there will also be two kids along too), I'll buy some earplugs or sleep in the bathtub.
