Just like the weather back home in Houston. That's one of the reasons I joined the navy, to get away from that. I guess I better look for orders to Bremerton, WA next. Man winter can't come soo enough.

I was in Phoenix during this time last year. The afternoon temp was 105 in the shade. This year, I checked and the temperature at 3 PM in Phoenix today was about 87 degrees.

Since when is Maryland hotter in the summertime than Phoenix. :shrug:

When ya really look back-we haven't had a "real" winter for several years. I personally miss all the snow (not the ice!), going sledding late at night, makin snow cream, calling in work cause I can't get down my lane...got a dang tractor w/huge snowblower on it and ain't fired er up once!

You know, I was walking through a parking lot today (had to park in the south 40) and was whining to myself about how hot I was. Had myself a little pitty party, cussed a bit and panted quite a lot.

Then....I thought about all of our guys and gals over in the arm pit of the world wearing full kevlar in heat that makes this seem like spring.

Shame on me.....I had to chastise myself and say a special "thank you" prayer to all of our brave, and most likely miserable warriors.
