1631; Electrical work done in the house today, bedroom on the second floor is filling with smoke
1635; One engine, four pumper tankers, truck, ambulance en route
1637; Chief 5 on the scene, two story wood frame, nothing evident
1638; All units switching over to RINS 1, unable to monitor
1640; Chief 5 establishing the command, everything with the exception of Engine 51, everything else stage on Pleasant Ln
1641; Assignment being altered, holding one ambulance
1642; Believed to be an electrical fire, fire is out checking for extension
1643; Small electrical fire in the bedroom, fire is out and power has been secured. Holding Company 5 only, returning the rest

What is RINS 1? Is that like a Tac Channel in Calvert? Or have all Counties changed. I've been out of F & R for three years, and things change all the time.

RINS are the former Talk Around channels. They only work when you get within a certain range. Avenue has been using them on a lot of their calls lately because it seems to work better in areas where they have poor reception. Our department uses them whenever we're at St. Mary's College simply because the buildings interfere with the county radio coverage.
