House Fire... Town Creek Drive/Rolling Rd.

Was out mowing the grass earlier and had quite the number of fire trucks roll pass the house down to Rolling Rd. Next door neighbor walked down the street and came back and told me the house was ablaze.

After the fire trucks left, The boys and I hopped in the truck and went down to offer any help. The folks are a bit up in years with 2 that were wheelchair bound. The house is totally uninhabitable for the moment.

I had a house burn down on me back in '99 and I was fortunate enough to have had many freinds show up to help me haul out the houshold items to see what I was going to be able to salvage.

The boys and I drove down there to see if we could possibly lend a hand. The folks are talking to their insurance company trying to see if they are allowed to possibly try to get started hauling out there personal belongings. I gave my phone number to them and told them once they have a game plan to call me and the boys and we would come lend a hand.

I believe their plan is to try to start tomorrow morning.

I figured I would put out a post, if you are not doing anything big tomorrow and you would like to pitch in and help some folks in need of a few backs, Keep an eye on this thread and I'll update it if/when they call me.

What a great thing to do. If they are needing certain things, maybe make a post or list the things, and we'll see what we can do.

The owner of the house owns Dent's Store in Tall Timbers. Only one elderly male and his son living there. Prayers to them. I hope they did not lose much.-

They never did call. Maybe they have it under control.

Was hard to get a read on owners. Had 2 folks sitting outside in Wheelchairs and a man and a lady inside trying to find pictures and such. I just assumed all were related and lived their.

Fire apparently started by a Multistrip outlet that a powered hospital type bed was plugged into. Was laying out in the yard all burned up when I saw it. Makes one think out heavy use of these power strips. I must have twenty of them around here.

He has 3 sons, one lives with him. They have been moved or being moved and staying at a friends house that is empty. Hubby just took them a hospital type bed for him to use. Not sure what is going to happen. Just glad they are safe and alive.
