St. Mary's has a picture of the Vistor's Center for Historic St. Mary's City (it is a barn), which if fitting. Prince George's County, 2004 addition, shows the front of the old District Court building before it caught on fire. Charles County has the Old Port Tobacco school, maybe they should have put some kids on there holding up gang symbols.
What would you have put on the cover if it was your choice Slap?![]()

I think it's a pretty good representation of the history and future of Calvert county. The field and barns reflect the agricultural part, the boat shows a connection with the water, and the bridge shows the connection with the rest of the world.Pandora said:The cover isn't attractive. From an architectural standpoint, the TJ is a very attractive structure. It’s also one of the most recognized landmarks in our region. I don’t see anything wrong with having it on that cover.slaphappynmd said:ADC Map, I can think of a few better things to put on the cover rather than that bridge.

The whole freaking out about the "big bad bridge" because of a sad accident 1000 miles away is getting rediculous. One week ago nobody would have said anything about the bridge, but now we're supposed to pretend it doesn't exist?
Pandora said:I think it is a matter of what is attractive to the eye, and to me, the water, nature as a whole, is what catches my eye, but what you are saying puts it in a different light than what I originally thought. I can see that.
As far as the TJ Bridge, many have complained about structural issues in the past and this recent bridge collapse just has people questioning the safety of the bridge as a whole, and that just isn’t the TJ Bridge but all over, all the bridges, I think.

Much nicer picture. The boat in front of the barn in the other one is really odd. Well, not the boat, but the fact that it's in the picture.Pandora said:See how pretty that bridge picture is? It is nature with a bridge in the middle. I like it!![]()
They aren't putting a fence up.Jeff said:I am sitting here trying to remember if the suicide prevention fence is up now or not. I know they were talking about it. It's not in the pic.
Heck I just went over it yesterday and still can't remember if the fence is there or not.
