<BFONT size="2">Several hundred people turned out for a vigil in Frederick for 20-year-old Jarrel Gray, the city man who died Sunday after a county sheriff's corporal shocked him with a Taser.

The vigil was held Tuesday evening in the 700 block of Ladd Circle, near where Gray was shocked as police tried to break up a fight. Tanya Gray said her son should not have died that way. She told WFMD radio she'd rather her son was beaten because at least he'd be alive.
Although the family is mourning Jarrel's loss, they said they forgive the corporal who used the Taser.

The sheriff's office says Gray was given two shocks, about 23 seconds apart.

His cousin (?) also died from being tasered. I wonder if they had some sort of neurological disorder in that family.
This actually has my attention.
And good for the family for forgiving the officer.
