Men have estrogen just like women have testosterone. I know a guy that survived breast cancer.

I understand that. Here's my point--women can't get prostate cancer because they don't have prostates. Men can't get ovarian cancer because they don't have ovaries. So if men don't have the mammary glands that reside in the female breast, how can they get breast cancer?

Or does the cancer originate in the fatty tissue (which both men and women have) and it's just called "breast cancer" because it's in the breast?

Some men actually have mammary glands.
One relatively famous one is this guy, whom you saw in the movie "Troy".

His actually produce milk.

Breast cancer is not in the mammary glands, it is in the breast tissue. Women have more breast tissue so they are at much greater risk, but men still have some.

Thanks. What's the difference between breast tissue and mammary glands? Is breast tissue just fat and muscle?
