How did you find SOMD?

I kept watching someone leave notes on Otter's car and I would go snatch them off after they left and before he came out and found them. All of the notes said, "Check your SOMD.COM forums PMer" and I was like "WTF...:jameo:" and had to come here and see for myself what all of this PMer stuff was about and all.

I was looking for a girlfriend for my dog Duke.. Funny thing is, I started getting PMs from some "lady" in calvert wanting to chat. Still no girlfriend for the dog and I'm not looking.

My boss read one of DeeJay's columns and had all of us read it. Started using the rest of the site way before the forums. At first I only read the forum threads that showed up on the main page. Slowly but surely I ended up in here.

Did a "Google" search for drama and this place was the number one pick. It's not as insane as some people say but it's close.

When I first moved here, i was looking for a rental.. after a few weeks of having NO luck, someone at work mentioned checking out SOMD classifieds, I did, and when I did I noticed the FORUMS link.. This was Jan 2003..

Shortly thereafter I was getting pummeled with NASTY PM's from assorted women on the board that didn't like my sense of humor, and they tried their damndest to get me to leave..

I'm not even sure why I went to the main SoMD.com home page, but I read the announcements and some of the classifieds. I paged down to the Forum area and read the threads that were listed on the home page. I didn't know at first that there was a whole 'another world of forums outside of what was listed on the home page. It took me a LONG time (months, I tell 'ya), before I realized that if I clicked on the "Forums" word, that it would take me to many, many, many more threads. From that moment, I was hooked. What was funny is that my name brought me many PMs and very interesting and suggestive comments. My screen name actually came from a book that I was reading at the time "BadGirl's Guide to the Open Road", and also that I needed a match for my dog "GoodGirl". I was cool to read the posts and figure out if I knew these people in the real world.

I came across somd.com because a friend told me about the site a while back. I used to read the announcements and classifieds and then stumbled across the forums at the bottom of the page. I always used to read the forums at work when I was bored.....they ALWAYS entertained me. I recently just became registered and started posting.
