I came across somd.com because a friend told me about the site a while back. I used to read the announcements and classifieds and then stumbled across the forums at the bottom of the page. I always used to read the forums at work when I was bored.....they ALWAYS entertained me. I recently just became registered and started posting.
You're taking this MPD thing a bit far aint ya? :duh:

Routinely Derailed
I was in a dogfight with a number of radical leftists from Tuscon, Arizona - guns a-blazing and they kept at it. When the battle destroyed the WJLA forums, we started our OWN battleground: the Sandbox. Little did I know that, out of the sun, would come an ambush. From twelve o'clock high they dove in, guns blazing and murder on their minds!

Smoking and in imminent danger of becoming a permanent part of the landscape, I swore I'd never go up again - and I slipped behind a cloud to make my escape. I was looking, looking hard, for a safe place to land and recouperate. I knew I had to find it, and find it fast, before THEY found ME!

I was never more happy to find that peaceful field so close to home. I kicked the rudder over and put 'er in a shallow dive....and here I am!

Yes, I still have that old helmet and goggles, and the silk scarf that SHE gave me - get choked up over some o' the old songs from back THEN. But I'm HERE, yessirree, I'm HERE.

How DID I get here?

Been so long ago I can't remember.

I do remember how "colorful" Ken was back in the late 90's. :lmao: Ken used to scare most folks away and then came Alydar. I wish I could remember what that thread was about  ...he sure had it in for Ken and those two kept me entertained.

We started forums about a year after we first opened shop. So some of you have been posting on Somd.com forums for 9 years! :faint:

That's kind of weird to think about....

Did someone tell you about it for the classifieds, forums, local news? Did you stumble on it doing a search for area information? Just curious ... and bored.

Someone told me about the classifieds 5 years ago, and I stumbled on the forums while browsing the site. And I still remember my first forum event (at Casa de la King ) and still have the yellow SOMD coozie to boot ... you can still read where I wrote "BCHBNS" in permanent marker to ID my drink.
My boyfriend at the time showed me it & I joined. Now He's my Husbend now. :yay:

Is He also a god? If not, could you please not capitalize He as it confuses me. I usually see it when someone is referencing Jesus, God, or the HS.

TIA
