I do that but it lists dozens of processesMousebaby said:After clicking CAD, click on the processes tab. That should tell you who doing it and then hit end process at the bottom.
Click on the "CPU" twice and it will list them in order of usage, highest to lowest.Mikeinsmd said:I do that but it lists dozens of processes
That's memory, not CPU...... Thanks though.Mousebaby said:Look in the 3rd column. This is the CPU column, it should show different percentages of the memory being used. Find the one running the most memory and end that process.
When I do that, it only maximises the CPU graph. :shrug:vraiblonde said:Click on the "CPU" twice and it will list them in order of usage, highest to lowest.
Wait, I see...... It's the "System idle Process"Mikeinsmd said:When I do that, it only maximises the CPU graph.

What's this do & how do I beat it down??
Thats ok. The System Idle Process is only using 16K of memory but 97% of the dang CPU.Mousebaby said:Sorry, running Vista here, must be a little different.
Too late. Did I just launch the nukes in Montana???Mousebaby said:DON'T CLICK THAT ONE!
System Idle is supposed to be the most CPU usage - it's nothing. Just idle.Mikeinsmd said:Wait, I see...... It's the "System idle Process"

Well something that's sposed to just idle sure is using up my ticker!!vraiblonde said:System Idle is supposed to be the most CPU usage - it's nothing. Just idle.
Do a spyware scan - I'll bet that's what's slowing you down.
It's not using it up - it's saying that x% of your cpu is idle, not being used.Mikeinsmd said:Well something that's sposed to just idle sure is using up my ticker!!
