‘Mega MAGA Trickle-Down’: Biden Makes Bold Claim On How He Fixed The Budget After Republicans Blew It Out

“Today, we have further proof that we’re rebuilding the economy in a responsible way,” he said during a speech. “Let me be clear: This record deficit reduction includes the cost of my student loan plan and everything else we’re paying for.”

Biden failed to mention, however, that the deficit surged as policymakers enacted multiple stimulus packages meant to dampen economic fallout from government lockdowns. The deficit surged from nearly $1 trillion in 2019 to $3.1 trillion in 2020, according to data from the Office of Management and Budget, while the current deficit of $1.4 trillion exceeds the last pre-recession deficit by roughly $400 billion.

Policies enacted by the Biden administration will contribute more than $4.8 trillion in new deficit spending between 2021 and 2031, according to an analysis from the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget. Removing the effect of the American Rescue Plan, a $1.9 trillion package greenlit weeks after Biden’s inauguration, implies $2.5 trillion of new deficits.

Biden was nevertheless quick to argue that his policies decreased spending more than those enacted by Trump, who indeed oversaw a rapid increase in spending even before the recession.

“On my watch, things have been different. The deficit has come down both years that I’ve been in office,” Biden said. “And I just signed legislation that’s going to reduce it even more in the decades to come. Now Republicans in Congress are doubling down on their commitment to explode the deficit again. Just this week, Republican leaders said if they get their way, they’re going to extend the Trump tax cuts, which are due to expire in a couple years.”

Biden Says Republicans Will ‘Crash The Economy’ If They Win Midterms

“The Republican leadership in Congress has made it clear they will crash the economy next year by threatening the full faith and credit of the United States for the first time in our history, putting the United States in default unless — unless we yield to their demand to cut Social Security and Medicare,” Biden said while speaking on the “historic deficit reduction.”

“Let me be really clear: I will not yield. I will not cut Social Security. I will not cut Medicare, no matter how hard they work at it,” the president added, calling the Republican economic plan “mega MAGA trickle-down.”

He claimed Republicans will add “about $3 trillion to the deficit” by extending “the Trump tax cuts,” repealing “the corporate minimum tax” of 15%, and repealing the “lower prescription drug costs.”

Fact Check: Justice Amy Coney Barrett Did Not Side with Biden over Student Debt Lawsuit

Biden claimed at a political event Friday that the justices have ruled in favor of his program, saying, “Just yesterday … the Supreme Court said, ‘No, we’re on Biden’s side.’”

That is false. When the Supreme Court declines to grant an emergency stay it does not indicate what the court thinks about the merits of the case. All that happened was Barrett denied the application without comment, and the decision was hers alone, not the Supreme Court’s (which acts by majority vote).

Biden ordered Education Secretary Miguel Cardona to use a generic student loan-adjustment law to transfer half a trillion dollars of student debt from millions of Americans who willingly took on that debt to tens of millions of Americans who did not go to college or already paid off their college loans. It is one of the largest wealth transfers in U.S. history, and it was done without congressional action.

Joe Biden Lashes Out at Trump: “Look What I’ve Inherited and Look What I’ve Done!” (VIDEO)

Joe Biden on Friday delivered remarks on the ‘deficit reduction’ his economic plan is supposedly achieving.

No serious person believes Joe Biden’s tax-and-spend policies have reduced the deficit.

Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan and Inflation Reduction Act have not only added to the deficit, the spending has caused historic and painful inflation.

“Look at what I’ve inherited and what I’ve done!” Biden said.

Biden inherited 1.4% inflation and now it is well over 8% because Democrat lawmakers and Joe Biden have spent trillion of dollars.

The charts don’t lie:

The Treasury Department earlier this month released data on the total national debt.

For the first time in US history, the national debt has surpassed $31 trillion.

Another Biden record.

  • Soaring gas prices.
  • Inflation at 40-year-highs.
  • Record US debt.
  • Out-of-control border crisis.
Yet here’s Joe Biden patting himself on the back before leaving for another weekend vacation in Delaware.
