I think it depends on the horse, and what they have for qualities. Will it be a full lease, or half lease?

If you are trying to 1/2 lease your horse I would ask for 1/2 of the horse's expenses for the month.

Depends what you are getting with the lease, and what level the lease horse is at too... so a pasture / pleasure nag would be different that a rated show horse. You are dealing with a likely range of 100 to 500 (even higher towards DC / Baltimore).

My friends mare was valued at $75K as an open grand prix type jumper..

I saw her when she was born..she looked like a MULE momma was a TB daddy a draft..Nice mare...she is in CA now that is where she can lease her for $1500 a month..I almost died when she told me that..
