How to trigger a political civil war.

The idea has many legal pitfalls but the fact that there are people who would support this tells me all I need to know. It isn't about sympathy and concern for the illegals, it is all about blocking Trump at every turn. The people spoke when they supported Trump's campaign promise for deportations but the left will do anything they can to try to make Trump fail.

President Biden Should Issue a Blanket Pardon of Undocumented Immigrants

I'm pretty sure he can't do that since they're not US citizens and are here illegally. Democrats like to say "undocumented" and "immigrants" but in fact they are "illegal" and "aliens". Since when can a POTUS pardon citizens of other countries?

Wouldn't we need their names? Once they give it, write it on the deportation order.

Doesn't really make sense. If you can convict an illegal of a crime, you can pardon that crime. Saying he can't pardon them because they are not us citizens is the same as saying they can't be arrested or convicted of crimes because they aren't us citizens.

It’s gotta be beyond the President’s ability to pardon to issue them for unnamed persons.
Just tell them that these ones aren't the ones you pardoned, that was another bunch. If you can't put a name to it, you can't prove it's the pardoned one.

That's not even close to the same thing.

Yeah, I figured that was coming.

It is, if you THINK about it. The pardon doesn't have to do with the individual, it has to do with how our legal system treats the individual. That's the reason, for instance, that the president can only pardon federal crimes and not state crimes because the CRIME is within the presidents jurisdiction not the person.

Still no.

Okay, so let's say Biden issues a blanket pardon. Then what happens? That's right, the illegal aliens continue to break the law, unless immediately following the pardon they deport themselves. So is the pardon good for all future crimes? (The answer is, no, it's not.)
