HR Professionals Focus on Health Care Reform Update at the March 21 Meeting

The Human Resources Association of Southern Maryland (HRASM) will meet on March 21 from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, 13100 Dowell Road, Dowell, MD 20629.

A panel of three experts will discuss Health Care Reform including the latest developments and the anticipated changes which will affect local employers, employees and HR staff, the Maryland Benefit Exchange and how it is envisioned to function, and useful suggestions and ideas about controlling medical costs.

Presenters: Jon S. Frank, FACHE, Jon S. Frank & Associates; Debbie Gray, Raley Watts and O’Neill and David Wenrich, RHU, ACBC, Reilly Benefits, Inc.

The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in Human Resources issues. The cost is $20.00 for members and $25.00 for nonmembers, which includes a breakfast buffet. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the presentations begin at 8:00 a.m.

Deadline for registering is noon on Wednesday, March 14. This seminar is currently pending approval of HRCI credit hours toward PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification.

HRASM has more than 130 members from the tri-county area who have a special interest in the human resources field. Its mission is to provide networking, educational, advisory and training opportunities to HR professionals in Southern Maryland. HRASM is an affiliated chapter of the national Society of Human Resources Professionals (SHRM).
