Brief Description
Rain or Shine: A timed 5K (3.1 miles) run and fun walk - all events with or without your dogs! Enjoy a mostly level course through scenic Solomons Island beginning at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church. You will enjoy a beautiful view of the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay for the duration of the walk/run.
CASH PRIZES!!
$100 CASH will be given to the Overall Male and Female Finisher (Runner's Only)
Additional Information
Help us to raise funds assisting us in our continuing mission to: Improve our community for animals and people by: sheltering and protecting animals from harm; placing them into caring, responsible environments; increasing awareness through humane education and community outreach; endeavoring to reduce animal overpopulation and to eliminate cruelty; serving as an advocate for animals by promoting humane standards; and enhancing the relationship between animals and people. The Humane Society of Calvert County has been a No-Kill animal shelter since established in 1975. HSCC is looking forward to a growing crowd this year. Last year HSCC raised $17,000 dollars to help continue our mission of rescuing homeless animals that would otherwise have no chance. We are hoping to go over the $20,000 marker this year. We are confident that we can meet our goal with the help of all of our wonderful supporters! Award Divisions: Overall top male & female, and top three in each male & female age group. Divisions: Male & Female 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ Event T-Shirts for all PRE-REGISTERED participants, if there are extra t-shirts they will be distributed to participants that register the day of the event on a first come first serve basis. One t-shirt per paid participant, if you want extra they will be fore sale for $10.00 each. Jazzercise warm-up, Refreshments, Dog related gifts, and a pet parade of adoptable dogs!

The weather was perfect, the people friendly and we all had a great time. (our owners had fun too!)
