Hula Dancers

Hello.....
I have a friend that is planning a wedding in Sept 07. They want a Hawaiian Luau. Having a hard time finding hula dancers though. I am hoping someone here knows of any group/school in southern maryland that can help and be able to perform. Tried google and got alot of groups in LA. hmm pictures were cool though. ok well thanks hope to get some good results.

Whatever you do, go check them out before you contract them. I work for a caterer and I catered a luau style wedding. It was pretty cool in theme; they had hula dancers, fire eaters and a roasted pig, etc. But let me tell you, when the hula dancers hit the floor, I think the smallest one was about 200 pounds easy, and the fire eaters twirled the flaming batons and dropped them all over the wooden dance floor. When the owner of the catering company asked them if they had insurance, they looked at her like she had 3 heads...

My mom's friend has her own dance class and they perfrom several places...however they are located in the va beach/norfolk area. Also call up the wolf trap center.....I bet they would put you in the right direction seeing as they just had a show about the hawaiian islands...hope that helps!
