Mark 10:1 Jesus then left that place and went into the region of Judea and across the Jordan. Again crowds of people came to him, and as was his custom, he taught them.
2 Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?
3 “What did Moses command you?” he replied.
4 They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away.
5 “It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,” Jesus replied. 6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ 7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, 8 and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
10 When they were in the house again, the disciples asked Jesus about this. 11 He answered, “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her. 12 And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.”
OK>>>> OK>>>> calm down.... things were different back then.

Now when God started the human race.... He put Adam here. There was no Eve.... just Adam. Adam did a good job. He named every animal he saw, just as God hoped he would. God must have had a blast watching his newest creation running around naming everything. All the other animals on earth had a mate to procreate with. Adam didn't. All the others had one of their own kind to communicate with. Adam had God. With no human to talk to and no human to procreate with, Adam was pretty much a "One Of". But then he started to exhibit signs of loneliness. Now, God was really intelligent, and He know everything.... except what it like to be a lonely human. God's not human so He wouldn't know how that feels.... back then... because Jesus hadn't experienced it yet... not back in the days of the Garden. So, God created Eve for Adam.

Women were meant to be a companion, helper, and yep, women did the childbearing. Without children the human race would not grow. Adam would have only had God to talk to. There would be no more humans.... but then again Adam was not cursed with death. Adam was designed to live forever.

But alas, Adam and Eve became just like all the other animals on earth. They became eligible to die, mortal, because God was not enough for them. They became friends with the serpent who led them to the demise of the human race.

Now that doesn't mean that Adam could procreate with every woman on earth. He was the only man and any of those girls born of Eve would be his daughter. We all know that would have messed up the gene pool right from the start.

NOPE.... God didn't mean for a man to lay with every woman he met so he could have a lot of field hands, making him rich. That was man's idea.

Humans figured out that sex was fun. Humans figured out that the more sex you have the more children you have. Humans figured out that the more children you have the more workers you have to tend the crops and herd the sheep. Humans found out sex was fun. Humans got married for fun and power!

Then, once a woman had a child, men would throw them out because they were on to the next woman. There weren't Commandments back then. The first laws concerning rape were not written until about 2200 BC.

Women had no voice. We couldn't give our opinions because women weren't recognized as equal to men. Men would use women and toss them away. There was no protection. Women worked in the field or around the hut, barefoot and pregnant. Women raised the babies. If a man didn't desire a woman, he could throw her out.

Marriage.... well, lots of animals mate for life. Humans started out like that. But then again, humans did start eating their young.

God gave Moses Ten Commandments to make life civil.

Humans "tweaked" them to fit their desires for fun sex and power.

Humans are "tweakers" when it suits their desires.

Humans "tweak"!
