A native coral honeysuckle on our back yard fence was the first sighting yesterday so we put out a sugar water feeder and had one hitting it this morning. Sometimes it's the little things that make my day

I just saw my first one a few minutes ago! I think it might have been one of the females. I was sitting on the porch with a cigarette after doing the dishes and she flew up and screamed at me in cursive before she landed and stayed until she was done. I played statue. 
They can survive in temperatures down to 27° F.
