Rhymes with yummus, which isn't a word but it should be.

Last night I slathered garlic hummus all over a chicken breast and panfried it, then put it over wheat penne with more hummus mixed in, topped with carrots and kalamata olives.

Yum(mus).

My husband ate a lot of Hummus when he was in Afghanistan and bought some here, I tried it, OMG, worst thing I've ever had. He said that's not how it's supposed to taste, so apparently the brand he bought was no good. I won't try it again now.

I love the garlic hummus, but Sabra puts a little too much garlic in theirs.

What??? Too much garlic???

That is not a thing.

If you notice they are putting all sorts of things in hummus these days. Garlic, pine nuts, roasted red peppers, pesto, sun dried tomatoes, herbs, spices, etc. Hummus by itself tends to be a bit on the bland side. It's good they toss in some other things to give it some zing.

Making it yourself is the way to go so you have control over what & how much goes into it.

Mine was vegemite. It was years ago and I forget the thing that it most closely tasted like. Not an experience I'm willing to repeat.

When he was in Iraq the Aussies had the Vegemite shipped from home and he tried it and said it was gross.

Chef's American Bistro had a really good hummus that was served with pita chips. I think it had garlic, roasted red peppers and olive oil. It was soooo good!

I am plant based whole food. Hummus is my main condiment I use it for everything. Make my own, no oil no tahini. Chic peas. Lemon soy sauce. Love it
