Hurricane Sandy

Dakota

~~~~~~~
One of two computer models being tracked has Sandy moving inland over the Northeast by early Tuesday morning, NBC News meteorologist Al Roker said on TODAY.
That scenario is more likely to play out, he added, if the jet stream curves back and allows "Sandy to hug the coast and bring it as either a tropical storm or very weak hurricane."
In that case, the Northeast could see 10-12 inches of rain along the Eastern Seaboard.
D*mn good thing it's not freezing. We'd be up to our noses in snow. Heh?
TV Weatherguessers can't even get it right if they open the window. Guessing where this storm will be in a week is pointless, and that's why the real meteorologists aren't raising flags.
Al Porker might be able to forecast how many cheeseburgers he's going to eat for dinner tonight, but that's about it.
My boss, who knows that I HATE driving in snow, just walked into my office, sat down in the chair across from my desk and said "Have you been following the hurricane". I said no and he said "Well, most computer models have it coming inland and hitting somewhere in the mid-atlantic region". I said "Oh, that will be a mess". He said "Yeah, especially considering they are saying it is going to be met with an artic front that will make the moisture..." he paused here..."SNOW"!
LOL he's a meanie!
I certainly hope everyone has stocked up enough bread, eggs, milk and toilet paper.
I don't know about anyone else, but when I hear about a hurricane, all I want to do is have a week long french toast and poop party.
I've always thought it was rather stupid to buy what will go bad if the electric goes out. If you cannot cook and have to depend on a grill, you want can goods... beans... things like that. We did buy a generator yesterday because it has been a topic of discussion for 2 years... True Value said it was the 5th sale of the day.
Fired up the generator and tested the transfer switch yesterday. I got plenty of food, TP, gas and a gun! We'll just get some rain and wind now because my stuff works and I'm ready. :jameo::jameo::jameo:
Oh, can someone start up another Sandy thread or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5....:whistle:
I don't know about anyone else, .
I would say that is correct in this case.....:whistle:
Well, speaking of crap. Latest advisory has the predicted track even farther south on impact..pretty much straight through Ocean City now.
Every update has it about 30-50 miles farther south than previous prediction. Be going right through Baltimore if this keeps up.
