I work with one. This person is at the doctors now. And, on average, she'll visit a doctor twice a week. It's always something different.

Stories?

I am one too... however I rarely go to the Dr. because I am scared I am going to get something else from some one there

The kids' maternal grandmother is one. :ohwell: At one point, the kids were even starting to say they were sick all the time, like it was cool to be sick.

Does she go to the same doctor over and over or to specialists? Is she a hypochondriac or does she have an immune disorder?

When I was younger I had a friend and coworker who always was at the doc with something. I kind of got tired of hearing about it and figured it was all in her head. Later she was finally diagnosed with lupus and fibromyalgia. :ohwell:

The doctors have yet to find anything wrong with her. She's been like this her entire life. Every week a different internal organ is "shutting down" or "enflamed."

I actually wouldn't say I was a hypochondriac in school as much as I just faked sick because I didn't want to go.

Now though, I'm constantly worried about the cats, especially right now - Manny just got out of surgery less than two weeks ago, and is showing the same signs he was the morning before surgery. Would that be Hypochondria by Proxy?

I suppose not... cause there's definitely something wrong, not just my imagination. The vets are scaring me!
