Hypothetical question about clothing

Suppose someone I know, not me, bought some cool new dress slacks. And suppose that person took them on a trip and when he returned he tossed them in a washing machine. Suppose when he pulled the stuff out of the dryer to hang them up he noticed one pair looked kinda funky. Suppose this person checked the tag and saw "100% Wool Dry Clean only". Could this person take the dress pants to a dry cleaner and have them de-funked or are they toast?
