Has anyone traveled I-70 out west in the last month or so? If so what are the gas prices like? Or how about I-64 or I-81? TIA

I do it every 4 weeks or so its plus or minus a few cents compared to what it is around here. No big change.

Alright thanks. Which way do you travel? If it is I-70 what are the tolls running? We have not gone that way in a couple years.

where you going?
Ill be running 70 through the rockies in June.
if you want, when you get a little closer I can pull the gas prices for your whole trip from one of my camping membership trip planners.
tell me what kind of mileage you get and it will calculate estimated total cost of fuel.

My wife and I jump on the PA Turnpike at Breezewood and pay 8.00 when we get off at the I-376 exit for Pittsburgh or pay 10.00 if we get off at the Cranberry exit.

As of 2 weeks ago (our last visit to Pittsburgh), we saw gas at 1.99 (Sheetz) and 2.05 (Sunoco) in Breezewood and about 2.01 at the Sunocos on the Turnpike. We are heading back to Pittsburgh on the 26th of this month. If you PM me and remind me, I can respond with the prices when we return later that weekend.

We are headed to Missouri around the first of April. We are leaving the 3rd. We are trying to figure out if it would be worth going through the tolls since it is quicker that way or go down south. I am not for sure what the gas mileage is. My husband says it is about 30 miles to the gallon. I know that all of our trips we can fill up here and then 2 more times and make it into town. We have to get gas again in the town but thats ok.

I went to MapQuest Maps - Driving Directions - Map and did directions from LP to STL. Mapquest recommends taking 95 to 64W.

Here is the link.

Is that faster to go up to 70 to get to Missouri? I would think you would want 64 over.

I cant get it to format the directions correctly. but it shows you going 70.
if you want I can email the full directions to you with hopefully proper formatting,
you can also choose options like hotels (in a certain price range)
tolls etc...

Yea actually it is quicker to go I-70 across and down 40 once we get into Missouri. It takes a couple hours longer. Either way it will be a rough drive this time because we have a 6 month old who we are gonna have to stop every so often to feed.

Oh thank you for that. No I dont need the directions we have made the trip many a times in our 6 years of marriage. I as just wondering about the price of gas and tolls. If that is all it will cost about in gas it may be better to go that way.

In My Opinion
the gas is based on 30mpg that you quoted.

Ill trade you mileage. My truck with the camper gets about 11.5 running highway speeds like that.
