I never understood the hate for him, considering he was the best we could have hoped for in Maryland.
Its severe disappointment, not hate. He had the right backing at the right time, people were fed up with O'Malley...and he blew it. His priority was Korean women, bolstering his daughters career, pandering, hatred for Trump... He had the opportunity, ability and support and pissed it away. Now, he wants to be President.....okay.... what you saw is what you get.

I think realistically the best we can hope for as governor is someone that keeps the kids from smearing crap on the walls, he did that.

He kept spending down, prevented further erosion of 2A rights, even got some of us the ability to carry. When I rarely buy a scratch off I'm ecstatic if I win $100, I don't throw it out and bitch that I didn't win the big prize.

Well in my over 70 years of life he has been the best Governor for Maryland. Many might disagree but he left with a 77% approval rating and a huge rainy day fund something like 5 billion or so. As far as running for President I believe he doesn't have that really big name around the rest of the country like the Florida Governor. Maybe try for a Senate seat next time when that comes around.
