The Perfect Storm.

I've seen the movie a dozen times and am now finally getting to the book, which is a very good read. Nothing really like the movie, mostly detail and history of the New England fishing industry - the Andrea Gail is almost a side-story and not the main topic. Sounds like it would be tedious but it's actually very interesting and absorbing. Sort of like Deadliest Catch with swordfish instead of crab.

Show on Discovery has one of the Capt's in it "Swords: Life On the Line"

Linda Greenlaw is the Capt of the Hannah Boden sister ship to the Andrea Gail.

In the same vein of the "Perfect Storm," I loved reading "Sudden Sea: The Great Hurricane of 1938" by R.A. Scotti. Very gripping read about the Category 5 hurricane since dubbed "The Long Island Express" that swept through seven Northeastern states without warning, absolutely devastated the area, and reshaped the coastline and the lives of the inhabitants forever.
