#1 - Not quite sure what you mean. It sounds almost as if you want to convert it to 2D. If so, then this isn't what Flash is for. You may need to clarify what you are asking here.

#2 - Yes, Flash can be used to make video games. All game mechanics are coded in actionscript.

#3 - Any version of Flash with actionscript can be used. Realistically, stay with version 5 or later. If you are likely to have support questions, I would recommend going with Flash 8, as Adobe now owns Macromedia, and is going to be more familiar with the latest version of Flash.
