‘Green Mile’ and ‘Armageddon’ Actor Michael Clarke Duncan Dies at Age 54

The muscular, 6-foot-4 Duncan, a former bodyguard who turned to acting in his 30s, “suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13 and never fully recovered,” the statement said. “Manigault is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time. Celebrations of his life, both private and public, will be announced at a later date.”

In the spring of 2012, Clarke had appeared in a video for PETA, the animal rights organization, in which he spoke of how much better he felt since becoming a vegetarian three years earlier.

“I cleared out my refrigerator, about $5,000 worth of meat,” he said. “I’m a lot healthier than I was when I was eating meat.”

I am going to miss this guy in 'The Finder'

or, 3 years of healthier eating was not enough to offset 51 years of less healthy eating.
Or his heart could not handle his size. Or there was some underlying issue undiscovered, or he was working too much and just exhausted himself or he saw Rosie Odonnel naked

It is truly unjust to blame the death on him turning vegetarian.

Real vegetarians die too.

It is far more likely that the Man had the high blood pressure and clotted arteries and heart disease long before he turned to vegetarian.

His health problems are most likely the reason he turned to vegetarian as some last ditch effort to save his health.

And a more relevant point is that PETA is a group for the animals and not for the people, as we true vegetarians are not doing it for our health but for our ethics and our faith and virtue.

Surely the Man would not have survived any longer by eating on the carcass of innocent animals.

From July 1998 through the end of 2009, PETA killed over 23,000 dogs, cats, and other companion animals -- at its Norfolk, Virginia headquarters.

PETA is nothing more than a hypocritical money grubbing organization, and those that fall for their hype are total idiots.

You "bcp" simply do not understand how very difficult it is to be pro-animal against this world of violent cruel humanity.

You have said that you (which you said you have since ended) became vegetarian just because of your own self serving health reason and you did nothing for the animals.

The PETA group is not perfect, and the members of PETA have lots of different and competing opinions of how to help the animals as this is a complicated task.

I myself am a dedicated vegetarian and almost a vegan, but I still fall short since I am not a full vegan.

We who do care about the animals have to defend the animals against other people who do not care about the violent cruelties we people do to every sort of animal on the entire planet earth.

You "bcp" make such an accusation (as quoted above) against PETA when you your self are not concerned about the animals but just taking a shot at those who do.

My understanding of your accusation is that the animals were killed before they could be surrendered and given over to human pet owners, and there are similar events where people would kill them selves and kill their human children rather than giving them up to captivity and slavery, so killing the animals can be viewed as more merciful then to give the animals over to human owners.

It is possible that PETA has done some wrongs, and maybe they had wrong reasons or mistaken reasons or maybe not, but it is wrong to judge them without truly hearing their side, and too it is wrong to judge them based on a few events over the course of many years of PETA doing right.

Why do you hate plants? Why do you want to inflict such violent cruelties on them? Have you no conscience? If you really cared, you would never eat anything that comes from any living thing.

There is a lot of arguing as to whether plants feel pain, or if plants have their own right to live.

We know that the animals feel pain as we can hear and see the animals fighting to live and they cry in pain and they try to flee from the violence.

I myself agree that killing the plant is wrong, and if I had my own farm where I could grow my own food then I would try to live like that.

It is the ideal from the beginning with Adam and Eve Genesis 1:29-30, or primitive man as apelike creatures, then we could eat fruits and grains by picking them off of the plants without hurting the plants, though some such people say we must wait for the apple to first fall off and do not pick it.

I like the idea of not hurting the plants, but the foremost priority is to stop eating the animals first.

You're a fruit, if you receive a knee to the head, will you feel pain?
