Joe said what his handlers told him to say. It isn't Joe who is not supporting the statements, hell he doesn't remember saying them. The statement achieved the intent of the handlers so they don't care about them anymore. Remember douchimus maximus harry reid's response when questioned about the lies on romney's taxes? "He didn't win did he?"
