The knock off Ben and Jerrys from Aldi is good, only two or three flavors though but half the price and none of the politics.

The duo behind Ben & Jerry's ice cream is hoping to "take back Congress" by creating Democrat-inspired flavors.

Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield are teaming up with social justice organization MoveOn to create a contest to support seven progressive candidates ahead of the midterm elections.

Their politics is why I don't buy B&J ice cream. Once they went public with their extreme Left agenda, I swore to never give them another dime of my money.

Yep. I know people who won't go to Chick-fil-a for the same reason.

So do I.

I do think it's hilarious that B&J want to use their expensive luxury ice cream....to promote Socialism.

Several years ago I happened to flip to a radio station of two women talkheads going on about how great socialism would be for this country. And I thought: "that building you're in, that microphone you're speaking into, those chairs you're sitting on, the audio equipment you're using, etc... good quality stuff, all built and made capitalism, so you can promote socialism". And I just laughed and changed the channel.

But to me, the difference is that corporate CFA hasnt done things like this. It was the founder acting on his own. He didnt use the corporation to promote his agenda, did he? No "Neo-Con Nugget Meal", or "Screw the Liberals Lemonade", or perhaps an "NRA Spirit Night" where a percentage of the take went to support Eddie Eagle programs. TO me, that's the thing, once you bring your corporation into it, then the corporation becomes a valid target for consumer retribution.
Cant recall Howard from Starbucks offering up special products to support his causes, do you?

To sum up, CFA did not politicize itself; the progs politicized it. Whereas B&J are actively politicizing their brand.

And that's fine with me - corps can do what they want and target whatever audience they please. They can insult and alienate me all they want. What they can't do is cry about it when I choose not to buy their product.
