“I never wanted to be there in the first place,” Llorente told The Sun about her decision to drop out of her course. “I was spending all my student loans on different [cosmetic] palettes and would lose myself in make-up.”

Realizing she could capitalize on her online fame, the brunette made the decision to ditch college and strike out on her own as an influencer.

“Engineers are important, but I don’t want to build a career in something I would have hated,” the drop-out declared.

Llorente boasts 112,000 followers on Instagram and 70,000 followers on TikTok and has no regrets about abandoning academics.

She says she now rakes in about £30,000 ($34,400) per year thanks to lucrative endorsement deals. For context, the average salary for a full-time British worker between the ages of 22-29 is £24,600 ($28,222), putting the influencer well above most of her peers.

I quit my engineering degree because I’m too pretty — now I make bank from my bedroom

One should always do what makes them happy .. just own it

Doesn't really seem like she makes THAT much more than your average Brit. And she'll only be that good looking for only so long.

You know, when I was in engineering, lots of people left and changed degrees because in all honesty - engineering was just too freaking hard. It IS. There's math in there that was required that I haven't seen anything like it in forty years - there's physics and chemistry and applied math and mechanics that I will never ever use and if I do, there will be a programming design tool to help me through it. I never had it so hard academically as when I was actually IN school earning that degree.

But ever rare once in a while, there was someone who left it because of some social excuse or high minded reason why they should not actually pursue engineering. Almost to the last they moved to programs requiring no math or science and regarded as - well - cake programs. I mean, I get it, but I just roll my eyes. I wanted to say "Dave, for crap's sake, you were failing every class - don't give me that crap about how the world just doesn't NEED another engineer or some other dumbass excuse".

Granted I DID see women in engineering that looked like her - but my gut says she tried it and wasn't able to do it.

The calculus torpedoed my attempt at studying Electrical Engineering. I switched to Business Administration.
The bald fact of the matter, while I was good member of the student body, I was a lousy in the academics.
I left in December 1979 after 9 semesters with a 1.88 GPA.

I finally finished my degree as a long distance, nontraditional completion student.
I got a 4.0 over the course of the summer sessions in 2012 1nd 2013.
Squeaked by with a 2.02.
