I hate Facebook

I went to sign in to facebook a little while ago, and it didn't recognize my password. Many contortions and much screaming at facebook later, I still can't sign in. Dear Facebook: I don't want to reset my live.com password again. Facebook doesn't recognize the fact that I did that. I don't want to reset my gmail account password, because again, I'm pretty sure it won't recognize that either.

At this point, I'm leaning toward believing that someone has hacked my facebook account, which in any case, only leads me to believe I never should have signed up for it in the first ####ing place.

Is your Facebook login federated with some other service or something? I don't understand the scenario -- live.com? gmail.com? Can you just tell Facebook "I forgot my password", enter the email address of the account you're trying to reset, and have a code sent via SMS to your phone or optionally an email with a reset PIN ?

I used the live.com email to log in to facebook in the first place. For some reason, it wants to change that live.com password. If I tell it I don't want to use the live.com, it asks me for another email account, and wants to change that password.

My daughter's FB was compromised a couple of years ago, but she was able to change her password without a problem. Has your live.com account asked you to change your password? Like bank sites, etc. have you change your password every so often. My live.com account told me once that it was time to change my password. Are you able to get into your live.com account? My live.com account was hacked last year, and it showed me I had people from Russia, China, Nigeria, etc. that were trying to get in. I changed my password, and have no further problems. I am not technically oriented, by any means, but the problems you are having seem similar to what my dot and I have experienced. Darn internet! :frown:

I guess I'll find out when I try to log back into my computer.

The thing is, I did change my live.com password, which facebook should have recognized, but the problem is, it did not recognize it. So in less than 24 hours since I created it, my facebook may have been hacked.

Admit it. You either couldn't name a city without an A in the name or you didn't say amen to the disfigured kittens being cared for by a racoon. That's the real reason you hate Facebook.

I hate it because the "Most Amazing Pictures on the Internet" aren't.

I hate it because I cannot see any of my friends videos they uploaded from my Android phone. Grrrrrrrr!!!!

At least, not through the app. I have to log on via Chrome and go to the mobile site to see them.

Facebook sucks, although I was able to reconnect with two long lost buds. I look at it about once a month.

Verizon Wireless on line services make me feel the same way.
