I hate oak trees

In the spring, it's the catkins. Tons of them. Rolling tumble weeds of them.

In the summer, it's leaves and sticks. Always have to clean the driveway.

In the fall, it's acorns and leaves. Tons of acorns. I just swept up the driveway, one small section, maybe 30' by 50'. Filled a 20 gallon garbage can to the top with acorns. And there are plenty more to go.

Deal with it. Or move here to Fl. Depending on the weekly weather pattern shifts, oak leaves and acorns can drop here 1-4 times a year.

Talk abut raking pains.....

I'm sure Katelynn the rehabber would love some acorns for her squirrels. :jameo:

My drive was quite literally covered by them Sunday afternoon. I just blew them off to the lawn. They will get mushed down by the mower or picked up by squirrels. I have very few of the big ones yet.

I'll trade you my hickory trees for your oaks. It's like a war zone here with falling hickory nuts. :jameo:
I scoop up the acorns from my oaks and store them for winter; them spread them out for the deer-when food is scarce.

Yeah them hickory nuts when the shell would split in two on the deck was a painful thing to step on in the morning.
Tree is gone now, Jeffs Trees.
My daughter when she was younger used to roast them on the grill and eat them, bless her heart.
