As much as I hate to get rid of our dog I think I have to. Free to GREAT home a year and a half old purebread Beagle who is neutered and up to date on all his shots. He is a house dog that loves people and cats. He is very well trained and behaved. crate trained and does not bark unless you make him.

The reason that we have to get rid of him is that we found out that our son is allergic to pet dander pretty badly. :bawl::bawl::bawl:

It is a hard decision to make- get rid of the kid or get rid of the dog. Just kidding...
A lot of people have found good homes for their pets on the forums. It is certainly helpful that he sounds like he is a good family pet and is UTD on vetting. Good luck.

Thanks. And it is very hard he is like one of the kids, but health come first.

If I didnt already have two cats and the gus, I would be real tempted to take him in. Of course, he would have to get used to traveling around the country, but I imagine that he could handle it.

If the chiuahua was better with other dogs in his domain I would also think about it.

He does travel well. Just give him a half of Dramamine (sp)

I just did a quick search and did find a few oral type allergy meds,, but to be honest, its not worth taking a risk on the little dudes long term health just to keep the dog.

Its crazy how so many kids are allergic to dogs & cats. Very glad I'm not allergic to my babies.

Ginger works well for motion sickness; both humans and canines.

Have you tried an air purifier or a pet allergy shampoo?

I can take him.
On the condition that he can get along with the cats and gus.

If it works well, I can put up a fenced in area about 250ft X 50 feet to make a run for them where they will be safe from running off into the woods in search of the rabbits.
Oh, and my sister is our vet so you dont have to worry about him not being cared for properly. She wont let me go slack on the pets.

Give me a call, or, I will try to give you all a call tonight.

Check your PMer if you dont still have the number.

I just laughed out loud!!:killingme

Should I specify that I can take the DOG?

Great kid, but Im pretty sure that Yankee is not going to get rid of him, and even if he did, Im also pretty sure there has to be some law that covers such an arraignment.
