I just bought

But wait, there's more...
I've had an HP Pavilion laptop for almost 3 years now, and I still love it. No problems with it, I've had good experience with customer service the very few times I had to call them, and overall love the machine. I'm sure you'll love your's, too. :yay:

One thing that is confusing:

In the details, they list this attribute: <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=375 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD bgColor=#cccccc colSpan=2>
spacer.gif

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=Body-Small vAlign=top width=150 bgColor=#cccccc>Product Depth</TD><TD class=Body-Small width=215 bgColor=#cccccc>15.2"</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

It's over 15 inches thick?

That's depth...the measurement from the front to the back. Product Height is 1.6". Of course, it looks like they got width and depth swapped.

I've owned tons of HP computers and printers over the years and I've had next to no problems with any of them. The 1st issue I ever had with any HP product I've owned was my laptop. The hard drive needed to be replaced and the warranty expired just a few weeks before hand. HP told me to send it on in and it would be covered. I did and it is still working very well. :yay:

I do not own a laptop(one of these days I will?), but I've had this HP desktop for going on 5 years, and it's never given me a problem - that I haven't caused - by myself.

I messed around with the Registry, crashed the b%&$h a few years back, but was able to restore it with the help of a few geeks(no insult intended), that were able to get it back online.

Since then, I've added a new 160 gig hard drive, installed an ATI 256 meg video card, DVD drive, added ram, where it's now at 1 gig, and upgraded the main software to Windows XP Professional. I also bought a new 19 inch LCD monitor, replacing the 15 inch CRT that came with the original package.

HP products have served me well, I must say; from the printer, right on through the flatbed scanner, as well.

HP has always done well by me as well. I just have to get used to Vista for an operating system. Should not take to long.

Cant beat an HP laptop these days. Prices are better then most and come loaded. But I dont understand paying all that $$$ for that laptop. Why did you need an HD DVD Rom? That right there added probably 600.00 to the cost of your LT. Nice Laptop.

I build my own desktops, but I bought a cheap HP laptop, have had it for 3 years and it has been great. Sure its no speed demon but I didn't buy it for that.

One word of advise, if it gets warm buy yourself a laptop cooler to sit it on. Hard drives fail due to heat cycling so keeping it cool extends its life.
