I know racism when I see it...

...and this isn't racism. The subject of the article (Tom Joyner) is black, and as we all know, blacks can't be racist. Only whites are racist - um, because they are white.

Tom Joyner Message: Vote For Obama Because He’s Black « Kiradavis.net

Tom Joyner, syndicated talk show host, recently called for blacks to vote for Obama simply because “he’s a black man.” The message was not hinted or implied but stated plainly, openly and overtly. What if a Republican said something like this? It would make the top news headlines! We would be called all kinds of names if we said to vote for a man simply because of his race.” A hypocritical double-standard definitely exists. However, if you think that’s bad then keep reading.

Of course that is NOT racist or racism and it could be more correctly referred to as being a call for affirmative action.

President Obama being a black man is one of his positive aspects and credentials so it is a legitimate reason to vote for him.

It is amazing how so many white people act as if they do not know what it means to be racist or the meaning of racism as it is seems more like a very convenient naivety.

Four more years of Obama - yes indeed.

Racial loyalty. Unless, of course, it's a conservative or, like Herman Cain, a successful moderate. So, it ain't about color, obviously.

It is not about benefits for black folks, not jobs, not overall economic improvement, clearly, so, again, Joyner is not talking about race.

So, loyalty and pride are gone. So, what is this about? This is about black influence within the Democrat party. This is about the place at the table, the position on the totem pole for people like Joyner within the Democrat party.

Obama is, obviously, our first black president and, sadly, our first affirmative action president. He had no pertinent qualifications, no understanding of economics, of foreign policy, of energy or social policy and everyone simply placed their hopes in him being as smart as he seemed to be. Well, he is smart. It's just his 'smart' is about Barack Obama. He's done his part and let Pelosi and Reid run the nation while he partied and played golf. He didn't get in anyones way in the party. However, they failed so, he fails. He has shown, since Nancy lost her perch, that he doesn't care about them anymore than he cared about anyone else he threw under his bus on his rise to the very top. He's gonna keep having a good time, keep playing golf and keep doing whatever the party expects him to do in terms of letting them run the show.

And, for people like Joyner, this is incredibly embarrassing and to go out now, after four years, leaves it at that; failure by an unqualified liberal black guy. That hits Joyner and others in the ranks. The funny part is it hits people like Chris Mathews too, who we've seen nor heard much of since he declared the Obama has no clothes.

What is Joyner supposed to say? Judge him on his record?

What I find more amazing is how many people think that wanting to treat minorities (legal ones) as equals is racist.
The reality is that anyone thinking that a black needs affirmative action to get somewhere, is actually saying that without an edge the black is not good enough to compete. (not racist)
Saying that the black is good enough to compete without any special privileges and therefore affirmative action and set asides should end, is on the other hand racist.

Cain should possess twice the positive since Obama is only 1/2 black.

Does Herman Cain possess that same positive?

Yes, Herman Cain really did have a huge credential of being a black Man running for President, and that is probably what carried him as far as he did get.

The problems that brought down Cain was his horrible political ideas and of course his unwholesome past.

If Cain had been more upright as is President Obama then we might have had a black Republican against a black Democrat in the 2012 Presidential election.

That is because the equality does not now exist, so treating both races as equal when there is no equality is a white racist ideal.

Having a black man as our President does not mean that white racism has ended or that racial equality has just materialized - no.

I say that many of us who really like and admire President Obama that we would rather see him to be a little more black then what he has been, but he is limited by a white dominated Congress and white oligarchy and white infrastructure so there is much more that still needs to be done.

so again, you claiming that being black is a "Huge Credential" and not concerning yourself with experience to actually do the job,, thats not racist?

and,his horrible political ideas and of course his unwholesome past are worse than trying to disband the Constitution of this country in favor of a socialist form of society is a better political idea? and, having natural sex with someone of the opposite sex, or even attempting it is worse than having gay sex while smoking crack in the back of a limo?

wow. just wow,, you are one seriously warped individual.

Is the goal to eradicate racism completely and in all forms? Because we're gonna have to electrocute an awful lot of people to accomplish that.

If someone can say to vote FOR him because he is black, then I guess someone could also say vote AGAINST him because he is black. If someone opens up the criteria to be based on race, then it needs to include both the FOR and AGAINST votes.

Exactly the type of person the democrats depend on to vote for them, the illiterate and thebstupid.

What ails this nation has nothing to do with the color of ones skin. Socialism, which is what ails this nation, knows no race, creed or skin color. They don't come any whiter than George Bush and his expansion of government and entitlements and handouts and fealty to special interests and government power running further out of its constitutional boundaries.

Franklin Raines made some $100 million dollars running one of our 'heads, the connected win, tails, the people lose' institutions. There are names of all nationalities and skin colors in that same club on Wall Street. There is plenty of equality and open doors for the connected and corrupt of any race. Eric Holder has introduced a whole new level of cynicism and evil to our justice system. Some think his 'break the law to make some law' mindset is actually a good thing. People like Al Sharpton, a very successful talking head, could not agree more with this type of 'make it up' strategy.

Barack Obama has either failed as president because he is inept and clueless or, worse, he has succeeded, greatly, because he knows exactly what he is doing. The exact same argument stands for George Bush much to the discomfort of people of all skin colors. Either way, he, Obama, has joined white guy Bush in the history books as the guys who turned this nation hard to the left and hit the gas. Equality abounds.

Being a 'little more black' wouldn't have helped Bush any more than it would help Obama. Unless 'a little more black' is about increased respect for the constitution and the limits it places on government run amok.

I think we can thank Obama for being our first black president and proving that race is no barrier to incompetence. I hope we can now move on to the next black guy or gal being considered because they have always been proud of their nation while being aware of her flaws and interested in forming a more perfect union instead of destroying it.

It is not necessary to eradicate racism.

The ideal is simply to put it down and keep it down and never allow it to rise again.

It can live forever - but live in the gutters where it belongs.

I do believe the Republican Party and in particular the "Tea Party" has already made the stand of removing the black family out of the White House.

So yes it is already included.
