Community outreach should be happening all over the country.

That's why Sheriff Evans was marching tonight with the group in PF. He was showing the CCSOs support and also protecting the marchers. The rabble that attached themselves to the march were typical of the other trouble makers across the country.

Because honestly, good cops don't like bad cops. Just like the legit protesters don't like having these white AntiFa punks jacking up their gig. They also don't like the black punks busting stuff up, either.

Of course, this will make the Left double down because there must NOT be any racial harmony as long as Trump is President.

I am not sure if they were busting out store windows. I didn't see any of that in the live video of the event AND the idiots at the end of the permitted march. I DID see one vehicle on Duke Street right AFTER the back window was smashed out by one of the idiots as they were being literally backed up Duke Street (by the CCSO and SP in a long line walking towards them) up to the shopping center where they started.

I go over to Dream Weaver Cafe a lot for my lunch salads, and I can see tomorrow. The BayNet reporter who was recording on his cellphone said he was going to lose his battery so it went dead. (??! Why would you go to a protest intending to record but not take a charger. )

There was trouble by the stragglers to the peaceful march - the original marchers were peaceful, as reported by people I know on FB - some of whom attended.

The tear gas was deployed because the march was over, they would not leave, they were getting riled up (agitators were screaming, and up in the faces of others, including, at times, the Sheriff) and even after the Sheriff had let them know they needed to disperse/leave/GTFO and the organizers of the march told them the march was OVER - they wouldn't leave. It was kind of fun watching the Sheriff go stand behind the line of deputies and watch them deploy that tear gas. People started movin' then! Then, I heard someone yelling "EXCESSIVE FORCE".

Play stupid games - win stupid prizes. :sshrug:

The tear gas was only used to get the crowd to start moving. A SUV window was smashed at this time. The police "escorted" the agitators to their cars. At one point someone attempted to break the thrift shop window, the crowd stopped them. At one point Evan's walked ahead of the police line telling them to go home. Little white girl was getting pissed. Two were detained.

If you listen you can hear the crowd yell No, don't do it. Or something like that.

It's on The BayNet's FB page. That's it.

Based on The BayNet's live stream at least one guy was there with a shoulder-mounted camera. Looked pretty professional but who knows.

I guess it wasn't very newsworthy then.

He doesn't drive a marked SUV which is why I wondering.

The updated post now says it was a police vehicle, so I'm guessing it was his back window. Makes sense that he'd say he was "ashamed of how people acted" if the *******s busted his window out.

I've never seen something like this in my time living here. I think it was newsworthy, but perhaps our limited news outlets in SoMD are not interested in covering it. Who knows, but I think it's certainly newsworthy considering the bar for what constitutes "newsworthy" is so low these days.

I love how this thread went from a nice act of community spirit to busting out windows and teargas.

You people never disappoint me.
