<--------We're taking my sweetheart to Metric Autohaus in Pasadena for an "extreme makeover" this weekend. We won't have her back for a few months. She is gettting a media blast, dipped, sound proofed, painted at least 6 coats plus several clear coats for that sexy depth, getting a new turn key engine, wheel, chrome rims, new canvas top, seats, carpet....etc. We're hauling her up with the wall of parts we have. My garage is going to be so empty that I'll be able to convert back into a small boxing gym complete with my heavy bag and speed bag. Something to pass the time while my baby is away :boxing:

My husband is doing that to his Barracuda now. Been at it for awhile. That crap gets all over everything.

Is media blast like sand blasting? BF was sandblasting his 54 Galaxy last summer, he was coverd in a full hood and all but he still managed to get it everywhere. What year is your hubby's Barracuda?

Sounds great. Don't make it too, nice, now - I thought that those old bugs are supposed to have a few imperfections for a little "personality"

I used to work at Webster, always nice to see your ride parked there. :yay:

Thank you, she is a pretty girl.

She looks like a bug now, primer and rust spots here and there. She is going to be show quality. We went to the "Bug Out" this summer and there weren't that many cabriolets, the ones that were there were 70s, she is a 65. She is fast, she has a bigger engine but I don't think I'll be racing her.

Not sure if it's the same thing. He's using glass particles, not sand. Yep, hubby wears full suit and hood and gets it inside there. It's a '69. He also has a '70 Super Bee. I tend to not listen when he goes on and on about his cars so not positive on the years.

:huggy: I know, my mind tends to drift when mine does that.... what's that shiny thing over there.....

That Super Bee is :hot: my brother has 2 Judge GTOs. Are all his cars finished or are they still work in progress?

No, not even close to being finished. He got the bee around 2003 and the Barracuda in 2004. He didn't get his monster garage built until last year so he could actually work on them. The darn garage is taller than our house. He is still looking for his "next" car. Wants to give our two sons two cars each (forgot to mention the '78 Trans Am in earlier post) when they are grown, have jobs/kids and are responsible enough to care for them. We currently own 7 cars and only 3 of them work!

Yep.. pretty much drowning in "maleness" at my house. My husband and sons are all car freaks. Even the darn 4 yr old can spot a car on the road and say... "Hey mommy, that Mustang has alot of horsepower." :faint: On more than one occassion, I've caught my husband on the floor with my sons playing with Hot Wheels. Shoot... a few weeks ago my husband and I took our oldest to Wal-Mart to buy a new bike and husband spots a Super Bee Hot Wheel that "he just has to have". Um... you're 43 yrs old. It's time to stop buying yourself Hot Wheels. Wasn't even the same color as what his Bee will be.

Well, my husband has his Hot Wheels from when he was a kid plus all the ones he's bought our boys. I wish my husband would buy the Hot Wheels instead of the real ones!!!!
