I need a machinist

I've got a ranger project truck. Bigger front brakes are in the plans problem is nobody makes a bolt on kit. There was a guy machining these but he stopped doing them. The rangers have a hub/rotor assembly that is one piece. On the mustang the hub and rotor are two pieces. The hub on the left is the modified ranger piece and on the right is the stock mustang hub. The bottom picture is the modified rotor installed on the ranger spindle. Give me an idea on cost to take a ranger rotor/hub and machine the rotor off. I also believe the face of the hub gets turned down a little too. It then uses a stock mustang rotor with an adapter bracket and a mustang caliper. I may also be interested in getting the adapter bracket machined as well. If this is something you can do, it could turn into an ongoing thing. This is an unserved niche in the automotive aftermarket.

Well, it's only my opinion, so take it for what it's worth. I've been involved in or seen plenty of those types of projects over the years, and I believe you're buying yourself more headache than you really want.

Why wouldn't the brakes from a Bronco II work? Don't really know much about them, not really a Ford guy, but that might be worth looking into.

I'd recommend getting advice from experienced people who are really into that kind of thing. This guy is local (works on base at Pax), but when I just went to his site, it was down. I'll shoot him an email Monday to see if that's permanent or what. www.stovebolt.com
