I Never Knew This....

There is an undocumented feature (not in your user manual) on most hand cordless drills, only recently are people finding out about it. I've never been thrilled with my DeWalt drills... drill bits always spin or loosen up. Like most of you out there, I put the drill in, put it in forward and pull the trigger to tighten the chuck onto the bit.

Did you know there is a ratchet lock? Once you've tightened the bit, turn the chuck by hand Clockwise. You'll hear it ratchet down tighter until it stops. Then turn the chuck Counter-Clockwise until it clicks. It is now really locked.

Thanx to this guy for getting the real info from the manufacturers.
