... because, if Id've pirated these movies, I would've been able to see them. :jet:

But me, being a law-abiding citizen, went out and bought the movie(s) on DVD. Guesss what, put all 4 DVDs (different movies) in 3 different DVD players. None of them work. :burning:

So, let me get this straight, because my DVD player or TV are two years old, I don't get to watch DVDs anymore? :jet:

#### the MPAA :bitme:

HD DVD and Blue Ray will not play in standard DVD players.
HD DVD will not play in Blue Ray and Blue Ray will not play in HD DVD.
Standard DVD will probably play in HD DVD and Blue Ray players.

Yeah, that's the problem

It's a standard DVD, 4 standard DVD players. My PC gave me an error about the encoding of the DVD requiring an updated DVD-ROM driver, and it only worked on one DVD player.

So, I have two fixes, either download the movies and burn the DVDs myself or buy 4 new DVD players.

If I go out and buy a DVD that came out last year, it's fine. But 4 new releases within the past few weeks - doesn't work.

And yes, MMdad, the DVD is right side up. :smack:

One of the DVD players is pretty new, and has never had a problem before. I'm getting ready to replace another one of the DVD players because it only seems to play DVD-Rs.

It's still bizzare, and it's not a problem with 4 DVD players being broke.
