True, and I really don't care anyway, I get up whenever the mood strikes me. I just wanted to mess with Greg.
Sadly, many, many years of getting up at 3:30-4am to get into DC by 5:30 - I'm usually awake by then anyway. I catch the news, play a game, post on the board and get the house ready for everyone.
Since all of my kids need to be on the bus from 6:30 to 7 - it's just as well. My son will NOT arise from bed unless I grab him by the foot and wake him with a thud. I've even bought old-fashioned windup clocks with exceedingly irritating alarms - and he won't budge.
Once they start making me haul ass into DC again - to do the same thing I do at home, in perfect isolation there, as I do - here - I'll be leaving before some of them rise, just so I can waste 3 hours a day traveling. I know everyone says, GET YOUR LAZY ASS into work, but I am deadly serious - I WILL spend all day there without seeing or speaking to a soul, except through messenger apps. Just like home. Because, among other things, to manage desk space, we will play musical desks every single day. There will be no point to going to the coffee clatch or hanging out at someone's desk - because I'll be moved all over. And I WILL have to catch that bus home, unlike at my home office, where if something needs my attention, I can stick around.
Sigh.
But I've noticed that DST comes and goes with barely a reaction anymore. No more "yay! another hour!" or "dammit, WHY? why do I have to get up NOW?". It gets a shrug except I notice that the sun seems to be in a different place.
