a portable generator. I'm looking for something small enough to fit in the back of my car but big enough (wattage) to run a blender or two. Something along the lines of 1850-2000 watts I'm thinking. Any recommendations on brand or a line on where to get one (maybe used)?

Northern Tool has a 1000W model for $150. That should do a blender or two. Maybe a radio or TV also. They also have a Honda series starting at 1000W and going up that are designed for that sort of thing. More $ though.

I found a 3000w at peakpowertools.com for $250 + s&h. I'm waiting for a reply on the overall dimensions, but this might be the one. It'll more than cover my tailgating needs and I'll be able to use it around the house for storm season (little :sarcasm: here).

How important is price? If you want to be able to hear yourself think, any of the cheaper gen's will not work for you. If you don't mind the noise, there's nothing wrong with them. Honda EU2000i is a great generator but will run about $900. Also depends on what you want to use the generator for. Blenders are one thing, but if you ever want to run computers or any sensitive equipment, you'll want an invertor/generator that will give you clean power. But that also = $$.

We'll be in the limo/bus parking area. We have a 16 person limo-bus taking our merry crew this year.

The "real crowd"?
For a few years, a bunch of us from the same company all went. Well half would take a bus, and the rest of us would drive. So it was always back and forth, as to who had the better party. It was the "bus crowd" vs "the real crowd"

We always walk over there. I think it would be great that way, so everyone can drink. But there are a few in our party that never drink. So it's equal.
