Guessing you weren't a Colts fan back on March 29, 1984.... and a guy named Robert Irsay... lolI don’t hate anyone enough to want to piss on their grave, even if there’s NO line.
The Colts WERE my team starting with Super Bowl V.Guessing you weren't a Colts fan back on March 29, 1984.... and a guy named Robert Irsay... lol
Nor do I. I would however pour a bottle of fine single malt over her grave.I don’t hate anyone enough to want to piss on their grave, even if there’s NO line.
...they were my team starting in 1956 at age 8. My dad was a season ticket holder, as of that year, and he took me to a game (in 1957) where I was able to shake hands with Johnny U! My dad was part of a group of fans called the Colt Corrals. We went inside the stadium hallway near the locker room after the game and shook hands with the players as they were leaving. The Colts WERE my team starting with Super Bowl V.
how was working at the Dayton Airport? I love that place and fly in there every chance I get.....it's just so easy....they were my team starting in 1956 at age 8. Years later I met him again at the Dayton Airport where I worked. He came in on our flight and was trying to rent his car. He had left his license back in Baltimore and they would not rent him the car (Girls at the rental car counter had no idea who he was) I was working in the baggage claim area, in the missing baggage office, and he approached me for help. Well, hell yeah, I would help! The girl working the car counter was the girl friend of one of ramp guys and knew me pretty well. I convince her to rent the car to him, so it all worked out. Johnny was working as a PR guy for some Oil company based in Baltimore, but I can't recall the name.
Super Bowl III broke my heart. Boy did I take a razzing from my Marines buddies that evening.
DAY was a great place to work. Transferred there 1978- Wife grew up in a small area south of Dayton and when we visited there I really liked the area (still live in the same area). When an opening was posted for DAY I asked the wife if she wanted to move back home - from the DC area- and she said yes. I applied for the slot, interviewed and was awarded the opening. The airlines there were TWA-Northwest-Republic-Delta-United. We had about 14 flights a day with a 24 operations as a flight at 0200 to DTW and another at 0400 to ATL. (not much people traffic but loaded with freight/mail was a major load) Piedmont "Hub'ed" the airport in about 1982-1983 and the place went crazy. New passenger terminals, new expanded ticket counter buildings and baggage claim areas, just crazy building of everything.(The big rumor was that the City of Dayton paid for almost all of the new building so when USAir dumped the HUB the city was left with all the bills) I transferred out in 1989 to CVG to oversee the training department and retired Dec 31, 2001.how was working at the Dayton Airport? Grew up about 40 minutes north of DAY, flying in their next Thursday for my niece's wedding. When regularly dealing with DCA, IAD, and BWI, going through that little airport with zero stress really makes the travel day easier.DAY was a great place to work. DAY is a shell of what it once was as USAir bought Piedmont and after a few years really pulled a bunch of flights from the Hub operation. And now USAir (known in the airline world as Useless Air) is part of American
As a kid that was born and raised in MD, and has resided in Indiana for 23+ years over my life. Im dissipointed to say that Maryland ended up with the better deal.Guessing you weren't a Colts fan back on March 29, 1984.... and a guy named Robert Irsay... lol
Pissing on them before they are dead, is acceptable with certain employment opportunities...The Colts WERE my team starting with Super Bowl V.
LOTS of people have done far, far worse to me than that - still don’t hate them. Mainly because hate just hurts yourself. It doesn’t do anything to the object of your hate.

And yet, many jurisdictions require their first responders to either live in the cities they work in (ex. Philadelphia) or to pay an "occupational privilege tax."Honestly, so many elected Democrats are literally and clinically insane. But when you go check out the districts they represent, it's pretty much a perfect match. Mad Max's district is such a roached out shithole that even SHE won't live there. AOC doesn't live in her district either. Many of them don't even have offices in their district - if they had one at some point the locals destroyed it and they never got rebuilt. They keep a cheap apartment so they can have an address in the district for political purposes.
It's not required that House members live in the district they represent, but when they don't you can pretty much guarantee it's because that district is a crime and drug infested ghetto, which lends itself to voting Democrat because they are the Party of drugs and crime. Max hasn't actively campaigned in years and may not even be aware of elections because she doesn't have to - she's a shoo-in.
Wait, did you said Maid-Rite? I grew up on them in Iowa. Haven't had one in...many decades.Another great little airport is Jackson, Mississippi.
Are you going to roll through Greenville and get a few loose meat sammi's at Maid-Rite?
